About CAREOSITY

Jeremy S. Watkins - Founder | Director of CAREOSITY

Welcome

I’m Jeremy Watkins, founder and director of CAREOSITY. My years in caregiving inspired a company built to honor the people receiving care and support those providing it. Welcome—I’m glad you’re here to learn about our story and vision.

The Story & The Vision

A better experience of care begins with seeing the person.

My introduction to caregiving began long before it became my profession. My mother and grandmother were private caregivers, and growing up around their work introduced me to the importance of caring for older adults.

In 2014, I began working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Over the years, I worked in several facilities and accepted private caregiving positions in people’s homes. Experiencing both settings helped me understand how much the environment and approach to care could shape a person’s everyday life.

In facilities, I often had responsibility for 20 to 30 residents. The work was demanding, and my attention was spread across many people who needed help. There was little time to sit, listen, and connect. Daily schedules sometimes meant waking someone for care when they wanted to keep sleeping.

I remember the longing on residents’ faces. They tried to make the best of their circumstances, but I could see how much they wanted to participate in life—to have choices, meaningful relationships, and something to look forward to.

When I eventually moved exclusively into private home care, I found the kind of caregiving I loved. I could spend time with the person in front of me, hear their stories, meet their family and friends, and support the routines that mattered to them. There was room for connection and for helping people remain as independent as possible.

The conversation that started it all

One day, while walking a trail with a client, he suggested that I start my own caregiving company. I asked what he would want from a company like that. His answer was simple: the same care I was already providing.

That conversation stayed with me. As we talked more, the possibility became a purpose: I wanted to create a company that made this kind of care available to more people.

In November 2022, I founded Classic Senior Care. My first client was the man who had encouraged me to begin.

In May 2023, I reimagined the company and renamed it CAREOSITY, with two guiding purposes: make home care better, and make sure caregivers are treated and paid better.

Supporting the people on both sides of care

Those purposes continue to guide CAREOSITY today.

We invest in caregiver education, support, careful employee screening, and competitive compensation. We believe caregivers deserve to be respected as professionals and equipped to provide thoughtful, dependable care.

We also recognize that families are part of the care relationship. Their observations, concerns, and experience matter. Listening to them helps us understand the person receiving care and support the people who care about them.

Our vision for home care

My vision for CAREOSITY reaches beyond the services we provide today.

I advocate for meaningful oversight, ongoing education, and professional standards throughout home care—including for caregivers working independently. People inviting a caregiver into their home deserve safety, accountability, and respect.

Above all, I believe care should protect a person’s ability to participate in their own life. Their preferences, relationships, routines, and choices should remain part of every conversation.

CAREOSITY aims to help build a better, safer, and more sustainable home care experience for clients, families, and caregivers alike.

How CAREOSITY Works

Thoughtful planning. Qualified caregivers. Support that fits your life.

Good care requires more than filling a place on a schedule. It requires understanding the person, identifying the support they need, and choosing a caregiver qualified to provide it.

CAREOSITY brings together clearly defined care tiers, registered nurse oversight, flexible visits, and ongoing caregiver education to support a more personal and dependable experience of care.

Care tiers that match support to need

Our care tiers help clients, families, and caregivers understand what assistance is needed and what qualifications the caregiver must bring. They guide care planning and help keep responsibilities clear.

Tier 1: Companion Care

Companion care supports connection and everyday life at home. Services may include conversation, meaningful activities, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, reminders, and safety observation.

This tier is appropriate for people who need companionship or practical household support while managing their own personal care.

Tier 2: Personal Care

Personal care includes companion services along with hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, walking, and safe transfers, as identified in the person’s care plan.

At CAREOSITY, personal-care assignments require CNA credentials and verified competence in the assistance the client needs. Caregivers assigned to companion and household duties stay within those responsibilities.

Personal care involves privacy, dignity, and physical safety. Matching the caregiver’s qualifications to these needs is an essential part of planning care.

Tier 3: Advanced Non-Medical Care

This tier provides more intensive assistance and supervision for people with complex non-medical needs. These may include significant mobility limitations, cognitive impairment, or behavioral symptoms that require a more experienced and carefully prepared caregiver.

Planning considers the caregiver’s relevant experience and demonstrated skills, along with any additional staffing or equipment needed to provide support safely.

Across every tier, assignments reflect the individual care plan and the caregiver’s verified qualifications. As needs change, we review the support and caregiver match.

Meet Rebecca Arney, RN

Registered Nurse Oversight & Care Planning

Rebecca Arney, our Registered Nurse, plays an essential role in understanding our clients’ needs and guiding the support they receive.

Her responsibilities include assessing care needs, developing and reviewing care plans, responding to reported changes, and helping caregivers understand the assistance required for each client. She also serves as a point of contact for care-related questions and concerns.

Rebecca’s involvement helps translate observations into clear direction. A change in mobility, a new difficulty with a daily routine, or a concern raised by a family member can prompt a closer look at whether the current plan continues to meet the person’s needs.

Her RN oversight supports the assessment, planning, and review of CAREOSITY’s non-medical care services. It helps connect the client’s experience, the family’s observations, and the caregiver’s daily work.

Flexible care with no minimum hours or shifts

People need different amounts of help. Some benefit from ongoing support; others simply need assistance with a few tasks.

CAREOSITY has no required minimum visit length or minimum number of shifts. We work with you to plan support around what is needed.

Task-Based Care offers a practical option for people who need specific tasks completed. We agree on the assistance in advance, and the caregiver leaves when those tasks are finished.

A visit might focus on a personal-care routine, preparing a meal, or completing household tasks. The plan gives both the client and caregiver a clear understanding of the visit’s purpose.

CARECORE: Education that continues

CARECORE is CAREOSITY’s monthly employee education platform, developed by founder Jeremy Watkins to support ongoing caregiver learning.

It creates a regular opportunity to strengthen knowledge, revisit essential practices, and explore the human responsibilities of providing care. Topics include practical caregiving skills, safety, dementia care, communication, professional boundaries, and person-centered support.

We believe caregiver education should continue throughout a person’s work. CARECORE helps make that commitment part of our everyday operation.

Education and support beyond our visits

CAREOSITY’s commitment to better care also reaches caregivers, families, and care leaders beyond the homes we serve.

Through the Care Blog and Jeremy Watkins’s books, we share ideas intended to educate, inspire, and support people throughout the caregiving community.

The publications range from foundational caregiving guidance to dementia care, the emotional experience of caregiving, and care leadership.

Books such as The Art of Caregiving, Mental Landmarks, The Wholeness Paradigm, and The Unspoken Work of Care Leadership explore different parts of that experience—from providing practical assistance to preserving personhood and supporting those who lead.
